• At the start of each new school year, YES launches an annual campaign to raise $1m. 

    Our aim is for every Ross Valley School District family to take part and give something. 

    It costs $900 per student to provide each student in the Ross Valley School District with an art and music education. We hope each family will donate at a level that works for them. 


    Major Donors

    YES recognizes individuals/families who give at a certain level -
    Bronze $2,200
    Silver $5,500
    Gold $7,500

    Major Donors will be celebrated on the YES website (unless you opt to be anonymous) and invited to a Major Donor and Business Partner thank you event in the Spring. 

    Give a one-off donation or set up to give monthly donations throughout the school year.

  • We would love YOU to host an event in aid of YES!

    This could be anything from a bake sale, to a children’s arts and crafts party, to a bike ride and BBQ, to a drinks reception at your home, to a quiz night in a local venue. 

    1. Come up with an idea (learn more about previous events here), date and location.

    2. Run your event by YES, and we can create a marketing image and sell tickets via our website.

    3. If you’d like to invite members of the public, we can promote the event in RVSD school newsletters and on the YES website.

    4. You plan the logistics and cover the costs. 


    These events are so valuable for not just raising much needed funds, but for building community and spreading the word about YES. Plus, they are always so much fun!

  • Do you own a restaurant or shop? Please consider partnering with YES so proceeds of your ‘Dine and Donate’ or ‘Shop and Donate’ event are donated towards our annual fundraising campaign. 

    Your event will be marketed to the whole of the Ross Valley School District via school newsletters highlighting the event. This is great exposure for your business and demonstrates your social responsibility and commitment to local schools.

    You will be recognized as a Business Partner if you donate over $1,200.

  • We need your help! 

    YES relies on volunteers. We have a working Board of volunteers and are always looking for new members. 

    We also need adhoc help throughout the year, whether it’s helping on call nights where we phone RVSD families to tell them about YES, or staffing events, photographing artwork, putting posters for events up around the community.  

    We also have year round opportunities such as social media support positions. Perhaps you know a high school student who is looking to get involved in a non-profit and would like to volunteer on our team? Let us know.

  • United Market & Good Earth Natural Foods - donate 3% of your total shopping bill to YES.

    Present your YES scrip cards when you’re checking out at United Markets and/or Good Earth Natural Foods and 3% of your total cost will be donated to YES. 
    Collect scrip cards from one of the RVSD school offices or email Laura Langston at llangston@yestokids.org and she will send you one in the post.


    Sports Basement     - donate 10% of your purchase every time you spend AND receive 10% off your purchase.

    Become a Basementeer and support YES!

    Sports Basement has a loyalty program for shoppers to join and choose to support a local non-profit. They have selected YES as one of those non-profits so please help raise money today. 

    1. Visit Sports Basement’ website and become a Basementeer (a one-time $25 fee) 

    2. Make sure to select YES as your charity of choice

    3. Receive 10% off every item you make a purchase at Sports Basement

    4. 10% of profit from your purchase will be donated to YES

  • Corporate Matching

    The company you work for might have a Corporate Matching scheme. This means they financially match your donation to YES. When you make your donation you request a matching gift from your employer, who then makes a donation to YES. 

    Stock Donation

    You can give to YES from your stocks. 

    Donating securities that have been held for a year or more offers the potential for a double tax benefit - a full fair market value tax deduction and elimination of capital gains taxes. You should consult with a tax advisor to determine how much you would save. 

    • Decide which shares of stock you want to donate.

    • Complete our simple Securities Transfer Request Form and send to your brokerage who will initiate the transfer. 

    • Follow up with YES to make sure the donation is received.Report the stock donation when you file your taxes.
