Open Positions on the YES Board
The YES Foundation operates with the support of a large network of volunteers, including a working board that meets monthly and coordinates all functions of the foundation.
The YES Board is composed of a diverse group of professionals who play a crucial role in steering the operations of our fundraising program throughout the year. Below is a list of currently available positions on the board.
If you are interested in joining the board or volunteering, contact Lisa Betancourt, askyes@yestokids.org or speak with your school site lead.
VOLUNTEER BOARD POSITIONS:
-
The site leads are the face of YES at their school and in the community. They act as the liaison between their site and the YES Foundation. There are 5 site leads in total on the Yes Board: Manor, Brookside, Hidden Valley, Wade Thomas and White Hill.
White Hill is unique as parent engagement is typically off campus except for Back to School Night, Open House, and Music Concert Events. This school site lead has a real opportunity to engage with an older demographic of students. This site lead will need to help support the strategy for both parent and student engagement.
-
The YES Music Lead serves as the Yes Foundation Board’s ambassador and strategic advisor for RVSD music programs, helping strengthen community engagement, visibility, and fundraising support for music education across all five schools.
-
Program advocate and supportive role for our Theater Program Manager. Helping our theater program have a voice and presence in the schools and broader community
-
The Strategic Events Lead serves as the Board’s leader for the organization’s fundraising events portfolio. This role provides strategic oversight for all major fundraising and community events, ensuring that events align with organizational goals, strengthen community engagement, and maximize fundraising impact.
The Strategic Events Lead supports and coordinates event chairpersons while maintaining a focus on long-term event strategy, sponsorship opportunities, donor engagement, and overall event sustainability. This role provides strategic leadership and oversight, not primary execution of individual events. Event logistics and operational planning are delegated to event chairpersons and their committees.
